President Dr. Lee Jaer-Hyung of the IEAPS visited 'China Institute of Social Sciences(CASS)' on 27 October 2006. He met researchers in the Department of East Asia Studies and Japan Research Institute in CASS, and they agreed to maintain close partnership, to participate in joint resaearch, to have cross-visits of researchers of both institutes.

당 연구소 이사장 겸 소장 이재형 박사는 2006년 10월 27일 북경에 있는 중국사회과학원(China Institute of Social Sciences: CASS) 예하의 동아시아연구소와 일본연구소를 방문하여 향후 양 연구소가 공동연구, 연구원 상호교류 등을 추진해 나가기로 의견을 교환하였다.
